An ambitious, talented Covent Garden based digital campaign agency seeks an enthusiastic and highly motivated PHP developer.
You will have 4 – 5 years PHP experience, with an excellent knowledge of Object Oriented PHP 4+, MySQL 4+, and a good understanding of Flash Action Scripting, CSS, xHTML, AJAX and JavaScript. Apache and MySQL administration experience would be ideal but not essential.
Your portfolio should demonstrate experience working with:
∑ Open source technologies/frameworks/classes eg PEAR, phpclasses.org, prototype
∑ Web based APIs (via SOAP, XML, CSV, TXT etc)
∑ Coding CMS systems
∑ Coding eCommerce systems
∑ Writing tables that are optimized for flexible storage of data as well as fast retrieval
You will be involved in writing and updating our bespoke CMS, creating module code for reuse on other projects and working on new builds. You must be organised, clever, competent and confident. You must be able to manage a development environment and be able to accurately quote time for completing required tasks.
Contract length: 2-3 months
