Our fast-growing e-commerce company requires a PHP/MySQL developer for a long term role to build and maintain consumer-facing web sites. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with strong programming skills and experience of developing PHP/MySQL-based web sites (not necessarily commercial). The role will be Central London-based, though some home working is possible.
Experience of the following is an advantage (in descending order of preference):
Experience of phpBB or similar bulletin board software
Unix system administration
Shell scripting , email integration
XML
Web design / CSS / JavaScript / DHTML
SEO
Email/web marketing technologies
Your responsibilities will include the development of new sites and functionality as well as technical maintenance, optimisation and support. You should have extensive PHP knowledge and be able to learn new technologies quickly. The successful candidate should be hard-working, self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines.
Rates dependent on experience.
