Senior Java Web Developer (Central London)location Central Londonjob area Technical posted on 28/8/2007 We are a small (there are 6 of us at the moment), profitable and fast growing online travel publisher based in London. We're looking for a Senior Java Web Developer to lead the development team on a day to day basis with a view (for the right candidate) to becoming our Head of Development. We publish one successful travel website already, have one more due for launch imminently and a host of product ideas for both that we want to bring to market. Our plans are ambitious and they are very much centred around technology. We now need the right senior candidate to help us deliver those plans. So what are we like? We *love technology* and how that translates into *useful products*. We like to move fast and get things done, we don't waste time with red tape and endless meetings. We are a fun bunch, we like a *beer*, we work hard, but always have a laugh while doing it. About You: You should apply if: * you have very strong java skills, sorry we don't do ruby/rails,but we do use groovy and grails < http:///www.grails.org> * you have strong exposure to hibernate & spring * you have strong db skills * you have good XHTML/CSS experience * you have good javascript/AJAX experience * lead a team of developers * you love technology, but your people skills are equally good * you live in London (legally that is, sorry illegal workers with brilliant degrees in computer science we can't hire you) or can commute to our offices in Fleet St, EC4 A 2AB daily - we aren't looking for remote workers * you love the web and you are excited by what's happening in this space at the moment * feel at home using both linux and windows Salary: 45k-50k (+ annual bonus) Interested? email your CV to jobs(at)dealchecker.co.uk with "Senior Java Web Developer" in the subject.
