Application Developer for Web Based Tools (Oxford)

We are an award winning sustainability and footprinting consultancy who are looking to broaden our internal software development capability as demand for our innovative software tools increases. We need a developer to join our existing small team who is familiar with Web application technology, has a good understanding of complex relational database design and is not afraid to get stuck in and learn new technologies.
This is initially a 3 month contract role, though the period may be extended.
Job role:
• Undertake new development on existing software applications
• Play key role in the design and development of new applications
• Support internal users of software tools and systems
• Provide technical support (via on-line forum system) for clients and partners
Essential skills and experience include:
• 1+ year experience in a PHP environment
• 1+ year experience in relational database design & web database integration (MySQL)
• Fluent in PHP, MYSQL, ActionScript
• Experience with object oriented programming
• Experience of working within CVS environment
