Web designer/developer
The Art Group requires a web designer/developer to join our team on a contract basis. The primary role of the candidate will be to work on our portfolio of touchscreen kiosks and websites.
The Art Group is a vibrant and established publisher of wall art, greeting cards and more. The Art Group's Art on Demand program works with both high street retailers (Next, B&Q, Habitat etc) and fine art museums (MoMA, Tate, Smithsonian etc) to sell art through white label websites and touchscreen kiosks.
The working environment is very relaxed and friendly but the candidates will be expected to work longer hours depending on project deadlines. More details about the company can be found at our website www.artgroup.com.

Up to £26k p.a. (£13k for 6 month contract) depending on experience

Reporting to the senior web developer
Office Hours: 10:00am to 6:00pm
Office Location: Saffron Hill, London, EC1N 8QP

Duties
Designing interfaces for touchscreen kiosks and websites based on existing design rules and brand guidelines
Applying designs to touchscreen kiosks using a bespoke Flash and XML template system
Applying designs to websites using ASP.NET, CSS and HTML
Updating existing kiosks and websites with new content
Batch-resizing images for publishing on touchscreen kiosks and websites
Experience
Minimum 2 years commercial experience
Experience with designing interfaces for websites and other screen-based media
Experience with working with brand guidelines
Flash CS3+
Photoshop CS3+
Knowledge of XML
HTML and CSS
Bonus
Experience with touchscreen media
C# or ASP.NET
Experience with ActionScript
Knowledge of the art world
