Perl Script Modifications
posted on 17/4/2001We require a freelance programmer to make small modifications to an ‘off the shelf’ perl script. Working remotely, in your own time our requirements are as follows:
1. Once the customer has placed the product(s) in to the basket, the final page, which collects the customer information, will be located on a remote secure server (securehosting.com)
We propose that the information will be passed to the secure server by the http line and read by the server by javascript code/hidden fields.
Alternatively we are open to suggestion on other methods bearing in mind the final secure stage is located on the same server as the perl script. The secure server will run any scripts.
2. A simple flat file database is to be produced which will generate the product pages, which will interface with our current perl script. The database will dynamically create the products (and html code) based on different categories.
