Stock broker sightposted on 17/4/2001This is the spec received from the client. I would add I want: Ability to amend content (specifically the news area and the stock prices ) remotely. also the ability to administer the mailshots via a web page. Would also want a host who can handle this, plus 1 year maintenance contract. I will supply a UML spec to the successful candidate. This is fairly urgent - I need to give prices to the client no later than 20th April. Branding would be provided by the client - so design should be straight forward. I have a budget! NOTE: it is very important that people can login to this site and see the value of their share holdings. Also - important to client that they have a ticker tape directly froma market - possibly FT100, or Nasdaq or wall street - maybe all three. Here is the spec as received: · Popup disclaimer/separate risk warnings – to cover jurisdiction issues, where a client must agree to terms and conditions before entering the site. This is common practice in all types of Investment Banking websites. · Home page – This is the main focal point to establish company brand awareness and corporate identity. It should include graphs within the vertical menu bar. This page should be simple and conservative with links to the following: · Company Profile (about us) – This should be a brief description of the company background and services and address the reasons why clients should work with you – for example extensive research teams, credibility, highly qualified advisors etc. The main aim of this page should be to give the client a secure and comfortable impression. · Company Mission Statement and Vision – similar to a Blue Chip CEO’s letter to shareholders, addressing the value of clients to the company, the Company’s commitment to its clients and its dedication to achieving client’s goals. It should also discuss market trends and the solid principals on which the company was founded and on which it is continuing to grow. · Services – This is a list of services the Company is able to offer to its clients for example Advisory Services, Personal Portfolio Management, Market Research, Fund Management, IPO, Private Placement, Investment Banking Deals, 144 Stock etc. · Newsletter (e-mail subscription) possibly named differently. This is one of the most important and highly visited page on the site as it brings clients back and strengthens the knowledgability of the Company– after credibility this is the biggest reason clients do business. Market report/trends build credibility. The report highlights areas to watch (obviously linked to current in-house stocks). It is only accessible to clients with a valid login identity and password. · Research (Investment report with links to appropriate websites) – current in-house recommendations. Again a major factor as a sales tool and to aid credibility and knowledgability. · FAQS (Frequently Asked Questions). Answers to questions regarding the Company and its services (e.g. why should I invest with the Company?) This is designed to provoke a positive reaction from the client and as a promotion tool for the Company. · Ticker search facility, which pulls up detailed quote and graph, Bid/ Offer, Volume etc. · Client Portfolio – Enabling clients to monitor their portfolios through the Company site will support the image of a large, capable financial services company again enhancing the value of the Company. · Account Opening Form. -Potential clients will use a simple form to supply basic details and book a call from an advisor. Some form of due diligence can be exercised here in order to keep the regulators happy. Contact (Each advisor to have separate email account, which can be monitored by office manager). This would also include the Company’s telephone/fax numbers and addresses. A simple form can be created to establish the nature of the enquiry and send new enquires to the office manager for distribution. We are no longer accepting applications for this project. |
