Wanted; freelance team members
posted on 31/8/2001We are a web media design studio who develop web-based applications for a number of clients. At this moment in time we're looking to extend our network of freelance workers in order to take on large projects and to have immediate routes for outsourcing work. If you are a freelance/contract web developer then we'd like to hear from you! We are especially interested in contacting students who wish to undertake freelance work.
Please send URLs of your portfolio, or if that is not available, details of the most recent project completed (commercial or otherwise). Also, please give costs and timescales for the following sample projects, outlining areas of speciality and areas where work would have to be outsourced to other developers:
1. A promotional website consisting of 5 pages, graphics supplied, with short Flash introductory movie. No server side scripting other than a short contact form.
2. A database driven website where records are entered into a database via a form and listed via another page, with a third page to view individual records. Plus a search facility (please outline the method you would use to implement this). Please give details of your database system and scripting language of choice, with any others you could achieve this end in.
If you are specialist in one area we would still like to hear from you, as we can put together design teams for certain projects and divide up the work ensuring only the specialists do the specialist work!
