Initialisation and Evaluation for Heuristic Selection in Tim
posted on 14/9/2001
This proposal is requesting resources to fund a two year collaboration between the Automated Scheduling, Optimisation and Planning (ASAP - http://www.asap.cs.nott.ac.uk ) Research Group at the University of Nottingham and the Operations Research, Scheduling, Optimization and Timetabling (ORSOT - http://www.kcn.ru/tat_en/university/departments/bnk/orsot/ ) group at Kazan State University.
One of the main research directions of the ASAP group is concerned with investigating the development of scheduling and timetabling systems that can operate at a higher level of generality than current technology can support. Indeed, the group currently has two major research grants from EPSRC in this field. This collaboration will seek to complement these projects by exploring some of the theoretical issues surrounding the areas that are not covered by the above two grants.
We are no longer accepting applications for this project.Back to Project List
