Login system for Flash and HTML

I have 2 websites, a Flash version and an HTML version. Users will each be given a login name and password to access a certain page. I would like the user login details to be the same for both sites. I also wish to allow the client to add and remove login details just once for both sites, preferably from a browser. I am hoping the can be achieved with cgi/perl.
