VB6 reconstruction

I have a project for one of my clients in which we have an .exe file that is the front end of an SQL7 database. Unfortunately we have neither the setup programme nor the source code for that programme.
The project therefore, is to either break the password so that we can get the application to run locally, and then re-create the source code from scratch; or find a way to decompile the original VB6 code from the .exe
Note: We have written authorisation form the client to undertake this work.
