Virtual Shopping Mall
posted on 20/5/2003A new student website has recently launched, and we are now looking to integrate additional features.
We are looking to host a 'Virttual Shopping Mall'
The idea is a smart interface (flash) allowing users to visit various 'departments' or various 'floors' and then enter any of the mini Shop Fronts on that floor, or in that department.
We need it developed so that:
Either companies taking part in our discount card scheme (free) or general companies (pay) will be able to have a shopfront.
Students will be able to host their own (free), selling arts and crafts, etc etc..
We need it set up so that we can get a % of sales, or a sale fee on all student shopfronts, not on the others.
The website is PHP/MySQL based.
The students would have to be registered with BathBlues, and updgrade their account to 'retailer' account before they can set up a shop.
The shop fronts set up for businesses, (either premium or those part of the discount card scheme), will be done through an admin system, and NOT added automatically.
These are just a few details.
Please email your initial ideas, costing, timescale for this project.
Remember that this is a student website, and so looks are everything. The more interactive, the better!
