Job Site
posted on 27/5/2003The project is for a client which specialises in professional recruitment search and selection for permanent postitions.
I have split the plan into three parts:- Job Seekers, Companies, and the Admin
Basically the site would be similar to monster.com and others like.
Specification
-------------
Job Seekers:-
Register, fill in a form with:- Name, Salary Requirements, Skill Set, Location, Contact Details, Password for a log in
Also to be able to send a cv, .doc, .txt to the admin email through the same registration form.
Have a User area where they can see jobs that they have applied for and job offers
Be able to search for jobs posted by companies

Companies:-
Register, fill in a form with:- Company Name, Type of Business, Contact details, Password for a log in
Be able to submit jobs to the database with Job Title, Job Description, Salary and Location.
Be able to search for Job Seekers by skill set salary and location

Admin:-
We would like the admin to recieve all job offers and job applications, the admin would send the company details to the job seeker manually. and for job applications, the admin would send the cv to the company manually
So the amount of info seen by the company about the job seeker would be limited to Name, Location, Salary requirements, and skill set, no contact details.
Ank likewise the amount of info seen by the jobseeker on a job posting would be limited to Job Description, salary, Location.

The site would idealy use templates which we would design, and most importantly would be simple and efficient, quick to load and search engine friendly.
Ideally we would like the system buit usiong PHP4 and MySQL as this is the language which we are most at home with.
