Phrase corrector/corporate spell checker

posted on 10/12/2003

I need to a have a custom spell checker developed for a corporate client.

They have a series of words, spellings and phrases that they want to standardise across the organisation and allow users to 'test' their copy/article to see if it conforms.

For example if someone pastes an article that contains the word 'alcoholic drink' we would want it to suggest, 'beer', 'wine' or 'spirits' as an alternatice phrase. We also want to standardise capitals and spellings.

If you look at http://www.spellcheck.net/
this is the type of thing I need. I like the way a list of suggestions is offered and would be able to offer the choices for the appropriate words. This would need to work on J2EE technology on the clients intranet and on the internet as well.
