Pay per click search engine
posted on 8/1/2005We own a search engine called Swearch.com but we want the code completely rebuilt from scratch!
For example at the top right hand side of the Swearch homepage it displays the listing with the top bids, that is a bad idea as advertisers who bid high will be getting untargetted traffic!
The member area is awful as adding links is a nightmare. Users can only put one keyword on per listing, so they have to re-enter the listing numerous times to add all the keywords.
I'd also like a new feature added that for a one off monthly fees allows members to get unlimited traffic.
For example:
Add up to 10 listings each with up to 50 relevant keywords for just £25/month
Add up to 20 listings each with up to 50 relevant keywords for just £50/month
etc...
Those listings will appear above the free listings, but below bid listings.
Free listings are streamed in from other search engines.
For bid listings, the minimum bid is 10p and there is no maximum.
There should be 2 types of account for bidding members, pre-pay and account.
For pre-pay members will need to deposit funds into their account to bid with.
For account members we will carry out credit checks and also get them to sign a contract and fax it to us. We will then assign a monthly credit limit to the account or set it as uncapped.
Affiliate accounts:
There should be an area of the website for affilaites to find out more about what we do and what we can offer them.
Affiliate deals will be on a rev-share basis of our Bid Listings.
Rev-share amounts will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
There should also be a live xml feed of all our search results available to steam to our affiliates websites.
