Centration

posted on 31/3/2008

SoftLogic are currently looking for inexperienced and experienced team members to join its Centration project team of game developers.

Centration is a new revoultionary game based in a solar system far from our own, it takes a leap to the future where humans are colonising space and other solar systems. Players take on the role of a crewmember in a solar system called Centration. They have to survive various events, disasters and progress through the story untill they have achieved their goals, which depend on their actions during the game. Open-ended gameplay is a key role within the game.

SoftLogic are currently recruiting lo/no paid team members who want an initial experience boost in the game industry by working within a team to develop a large indie/commercial game.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

Creative Designers
A creative designer is involved in the main concepts of the game; helping decide what goes and what doesn't, and inputting their own creativity to make the game better.

Candidates will ideally have a creative mind, the ability to put ideas into writing, and at least some drawing (sketching/diagram) skills.
Creative designers work together as a team, meet often and discuss key elements of the game design in order to finalise game decisions.

C++ Programmers
Programmers build the game from simple numbers and letters, they make something out of nothing and work with the Design Team to create the game.

The ideal candidate would have experience in C++/C#, and a lot of patience.

Playtesters
Playtesting is key to our development process, playtesters form focus groups and meet regularly with the design team to test key concepts of the design and constantly improve the quality.

The ideal candidate would need to be patient, a good communicator, and love playing games (including board/pen&paper games.)

We are no longer accepting applications for this project.
