Automatic Bookmaker Betting Slip Functionality
posted on 3/5/2008We are looking to implement an automatic add to betting slip function to one of our websites. An example of this functionality can be found here - http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/barclays-premiership/w-o-big-4
The functionality should work in the follow way:
• Users comes to the website which displays a list of games, odds and bookmaker.
• User selects game they wish to place a bet upon, eg. Newcastle Vs Chelsea.
• The website will have a hyperlink on each of the odds for the game.
• The user clicks the hyperlink for the odds they wish to place a bet upon.
• A new window opens with the betting slip for that bookmaker populated with the select bet data.
• If the user has populated the website with the username and password for that bookmaker then it should auto login the user.
What we will provide:
• List of bookmakers that we require this functionality for. Currently we have 36 that we use and would like this functionality linked into.
• An XML file that will contain the individual bet information, eg. Date of match (eg. 05/05/2008), match name (Newcastle United v Chelsea ,type of bet (eg. Home win), odds (eg. 6.5), bookmaker (eg. PaddyPower).
What you would do:
• Produce the functionality above based on the supplied XML file that is called from the hyperlink.
