I have been making websites since 1998. The scope of my work ranges from small brochure sites to larger online business and organisations.

Portfolio

G2Blue

I designed and developed the corporate site for G2Blue.

The site is written entirely in XHTML and uses Cascading Stylesheets for layout. Without the page bloat caused by nested tables, download times are kept to a minimum.

Salter Cane

This is the website of my band, Salter Cane.

The site uses Flash to effectively capture the mood of the music and carry that atmosphere through to the look and feel of the interface.

The Session

The Session is a community website dedicated to Irish traditional music. All the information (tunes, discussions, links) is stored in a MySQL database accessed through PHP. The interface uses a new twist on the tabs metaphor, displaying lots of different information stacked on one page.

Lunar Ride

This is a showcase site for a German rock band. As well containing all the details of the band's activities, the site also has Real Audio samples of the band's songs. The site has a dark, sleazy look which is based on the music.

WordRidden

This is a "me-zine" I developed for my wife. A colourful, simple design complements the fresh content. The site is divided into sections, each one featuring its own icon and colour scheme. Navigation is powered by a Perl script called from a Server Side Include.

Lost in Translation

This is a brochure site for a freelance translator and proofreader. Typography and colour are used to good effect to give a professional, polished result. The site is made of validated XHTML for forward compatibility and accessability.
