Written testimonial:
Ricky has designed three book covers for me. He has a great eye for what a client needs, even with only a few sketchy details given to him. His service is always friendly, professional and efficient, and a good price too. I have no hesitation in recommending Ricky to anybody that needs any design work carried out.

High-Grade Clothing

Brand Identity, Website Design / Development, Online Wordpress Shop and Brochure Design for High-Grade Clothing, a schoolwear and workwear company based in Leicester, UK. I even had the chance to provide a name for this company which was something I have never done before. After some discussion over names like Top-Grade, High Class and Heritage it became clear that a name describing the quality of the brand and its products was required so High-Grade Clothing was born. The name High-Grade speaks of quality and also the strength / robustness of the products. Website: http://www.high-grade.co.uk

FD2D Magazine

Hand rendered artwork for FD2D Magazine based in Leicester, UK. I first sketched out the characters to get a basic idea of what they would look like and then scanned the drawings into Photoshop to clean up any stray lines. After this I manipulated the drawings using Illustrator and added some colour detail with the Olympic rings in the background and the digital brushstrokes. The idea was to keep as much of the original pencil sketches as possible so there was a mix between hand-drawn elements and digital. I originally designed it so that the artwork would stretch accross two pages as I didn't know how much text there was to be in the article and wanted it to be more of a background with sweeping green strokes that would lead the eye into the colourful artwork. It was decided in the end to shrink the artwork so the spread had balance and I think this worked well. The client liked the artwork and it was featured with my name :-) ( I did not write the article ) Link here to the digital magazine on Issuu's website: http://issuu.com/fromdusk2dawn/docs/fd2dleicestersummer12 ( My artwork is on pages 30-31 )
