Ricky has designed three book covers for me. He has a great eye for what a client needs, even with only a few sketchy details given to him. His service is always friendly, professional and efficient, and a good price too. I have no hesitation in recommending Ricky to anybody that needs any design work carried out.

Audi Newsletter - Email Shot
This newsletter e-shot (email shot) was a design created whilst working with Creativ Types Design Ltd in Leicester. The summer 2010 after-sales newsletter for Bradford Audi was created in Dreamweaver using HTML before uploading to a server location for further review by the client. Images were coded in HTML so that when the customer views the images in their prospective email programs, the images would be retrieved from their server locations and displayed. The newsletter highlighted sections of the Audi website that would be of interest to the customer, links to the website itself and Audi's after-sales service. This design turned out well and the composition works really well.

Bradford Painting & Decorating
Based in Oxford, this company required a prestige image and colours to match. I went with dark purples and greys to create an expensive look and add a bit of mystery to the design, similar to the purple that Cadbury's use for the same reason. There is a horizontal navigation menu to the main pages but I also placed a vertical sub-menu on the left of the homepage that provides an 'at a glance' feature to outline the services this company provides. This site when displayed to the client was well received and fulfilled the clients brief. Designed whilst working with Creare Design Ltd.

Single-sided Business Card Design, Logo & Brand Identity for Aptein Construction, created whilst working with Creativ Types Design Ltd in Leicester. The client wanted something different that would stand out from other construction companies in the Leicestershire area and this was achieved by using simple, bold design with bright blue colours instead of the typical yellow or orange and black branding seen elsewhere in the industry. The client was happy with the branding and enjoyed the whole process of discussing ideas, a few initial designs were produced but this was the one the client liked the most.

WindowsOn Charity Event
This is a painting I created on a large board for a silent auction as part of WindowsOn 2013 charity event in September 2013, the painting was donated as part of the event and all funds raised went to Leicester MS Therapy Centre. (Multiple Sclerosis) The images below show my process of adding acrylic paint to the board in stages, building up to the final image which I planned first in Illustrator to give me a guide before starting. I used hand-cut stencils and brushes and finished with two layers of varnish. The varnish was needed as the board is to sit in a window in the courtyard of Sumo, Leicester until it is auctioned off next year, the idea is that it is exhibited for the year giving people a chance to view it before bidding in the final silent auction. I was really happy with the results and can’t wait for the next WindowsOn event next year when I will be donating another painting for auction in 2015. This was a great event and for a great cause too, very well organised with live bands and a chinese dragon!

Audi Leicester - Email Shot
This e-shot (email shot) was a design created whilst working with Creativ Types Design Ltd in Leicester, Leicestershire. It was an invite for Leicester Audi's customers to place an advanced order for the new Audi A1. The e-shot was created in Dreamweaver using html. It was then uploaded to a server location for further review by the client. Images would be coded in the html so that when the customer views the images in their prospective email programs, the images would be retrieved and displayed from the server location. The job was to make them look sophisticated whilst still adhering to and maintaining Audi's brand guidelines. The e-shot displayed has some contact details and names greyed out for privacy. I loved working on this and it turned out great, e-shots are a great marketing tool that are still unused by many small businesses today.
