TWIN CITIES FLORISTS MARKETING COUNCIL 2003-2004 I wrote the monthly one-sheet newsletter that promoted and marketed on their retail florist groups behalf. I leveraged monthly news items about florist public relations, image management, promotions and advocacy on their members behalf. EDIGITA 2003 I conceived a holiday postcard message for December 2003. Owner, Ian McManus, used the full-color postcard to acknowledge his clients and vendors contributions to edigitas two and one-half years of success. UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND COLLEGE PARK 2001 Prof. Marie Howland selected my Defining Myself Outside the Box column for her Diversity in the City course during the 2001-2002 year. She chose it because of the frankness, openness and positivity with which I wrote it. THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR - 2001 Wrote cultural commentary, Defining Myself Outside the Box for which I received powerful responses. NON-PAY EXPERIENCE MAD DADS MINNEAPOLIS CHAPTER, INC. Created a one-sheet flyer to entice those they serve to abandon a criminal lifestyle for one that is constructive. Pres. V.J. Smith completed my discovery questionnaire that is a focusing tool; that supplemented my news-clipping research; this enabled me to sum up the chief topic points that would woo the young African-American men to consider changing their lifestyle.

I submitted my column via E-Mail to their editorial editor, Linda Feldman. She called, declared that she liked the piece, then requested modifications; specific personal events to support my beliefs about my topic. Within the next fortnight, my column was published on Monday 1 April, 2001.
Shortly there after I learned that Prof. Howland of the University of Maryland - College Park used this column for her course, "Diversity and the City"; this was during the 2001-02 school year.
