I was talking to BT, Demon, and Dircon (my ISP) yesterday, and got nothing but waffle. BT are saying ADSL won't be abailable for Macs for another month or two, Demon and Dircon both say they are 'waiting to see what happens' with BT, and managed to give me the impression that they may not even DO it, which beggars belief.
I even tried to get BT's Surftime which is free, if not fast, only to find out that Dircon, my ISP, are not providing it at the moment, and the ISPs that ARE providing it are a bunch you've never heard of (see the list of 'ISPs' at BT's site on the Surftime page. People like 'The MG Owner's Club'. Does this sound like an ISP?
I'm totally fed up with all the shilly-shallying around, and am considering a cable modem...
best wishes,
Paul
