Damian,
get .net if you need help with coding - there's tons of stuff in their that
magazine you should find useful aswell as the cover cd.

3d text was big a couple of years ago but has died a death commercially - if
you surf more hopefully you should be able to pick up some tips in
designing. I've been a web designer for 2 1/2 years but before that I had 6
years art/design study so it isn't easy.

I reckon you should have a raid on macromedia and get hold of trials of
dreamweaver and fireworks and just go through the tutorials. this should put
you in better stead for commanding higher rates and thus using web design as
a career, not just a hobby.

Web design trends move so quickly that you have to be quick to learn or
someone else will get the job before you. Go for it....

Thanks for your view Peter, I like criticism on my pages, it helps me to
improve (hopefully). What's poorly designed? - the layout or the graphics
etc? I only started doing this about 2-months ago so I've got allot to
learn.

PS This is my first pc, I bought it about 16-months ago.I didn't know how to
switch one on until then!

Don't mean to be rude, but I would not charge very much for that site as to
be honest from a design point of view it is not very good. Maybe a coulpe of
hundred quid. My advice is to charge what you think you are worth and ond't
back down too much.
