Hiya

I would say the criticism from

be honest from a design point of view it is not very good. Maybe a coulpe of
hundred quid. My advice is to charge what you think you are worth and ond't
back down too much.

is more of from someone who've been surfing the net a lot and and seen
difference in the changing style as we move on. So what your site is saying is
a bit old fashioned as clothes would be too seventies.

For one, background, its a typical old days of use, most days, symbols from
the background would be kept in one corner and borders coloured. Again buttons
looks like borrowed. Try and be a little original. However I like the wood
effect. Use that in your version 2. Most designs in the net nowadays are
probably 4th generation. Browser wipes are a bit naff to me, maybe useful
once, but not all the time. I am sure netscape cant do that, anyway, which is
why I hardly use it at all.

Best place to compare site designs would be from magazines and of course
countless hours of surfing. There are loads of ideas out there. Try make up a
new idea yourself, that would make your site stand out in the "crowd".

However nice attempt. Keep trying. I had to rebuild a web site for a client 4
times because I simply didnt like the previous designs and sometimes clients
tastes are somewhat hard to please.

I would be honest your site is worth about 150-200 pounds depending on how
many pages you have to do. Add wizzard programming will advance your pricing
level high - such as adding flash, javabots, interactivity and so on.

Joshua White
