To use server side includes you need a server (server side includes ;-)

Sorry to say that but you need to run PWS or another server to use this
sort of stuff.

While we are on the point I can't understand why more ppl don't run a
webserver on a 486 on their lan. You don't need a massive machine its
only you using it (it should be behind a firewall anyway ;-) Linux or BSD
with apache (mod_php, mod_perl and a few others) is what most of us are
running sites on anyway. For the guys that build for ISS its a little bit
more expenisive but it is a worthwhile investment.

Wouldn't you like to understand how what you are designing works? It makes
you far more effiecent.
