Arial is a standard install font though ray (I have asked the chap to check
it)

Morgan,
I'm no css expert, but I think that the problem is that your client does
not have Arial installed on his machine.
Can you use alternative fonts with CSS as you would with straight HTML
like this:
Then if Arial is missing, the browser will check for the next font, and
so on
