I did but not for web sites, I contracted for Rover last year and when on
site I refused to use or link to their equipment, they were perfectly happy
letting me use a monitor with my lap top. One point, they probably want you
present so they can see if they can do it themselves in future, I've had
that before as well.
Don't install software on their machines as there are then legal
implications you will have to consider such as licensing, and you are
responsible for the support of that machine after.

I've got a customer who wants me to make some changes and add some extra
content to their website, the only thing is they want me to do it at their
permises. Basically they want to be present when its being done.
I don't want to install the software onto their machine. Anyone got some
advice. I do have a laptop, so I was thinking about taking that and plugging
their monitor into it.
Anybody else have to do this?
