RE: FN-FORUM Starting off Freelancing

Actually, I seem to recall that when I was contracting with Reed Computing,
they referred me to an agency that dealt with this sort of thing.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the agency, but their prices
seemed very reasonable, and I was certainly impressed by my preliminary
enquiries. Incidentally, I never got round to pursuing it because I was
shortly after offered a job in Switzerland.
Anyway, I'm sure that if you contacted Reed, they'd be happy to refer you.

as I'm sure most people on the list will tell you - get an accountant. they
pay for themselves in the tax and advice they can give you. a good
specialist one is

it will ultimately depend on the amount of income you expect to earn and how
much effort you want to put in. I am told that generally doing your own
accounts can be a false economy.
your call.

Subject: FN-FORUM Starting off Freelancing
Hi,
Im just beginining to get into freelancing fulltime and have registered
myself a Ltd company, but am not too sure how I should handle taxes and the
money that Im making. Is there anything special that I should be doing other
than recording incoming and outgoing costs and working out the tax to be
paid at the end of the year ?
Any help would be most appreciated including any useful references available
on the web that might apply.
Thanks,
