Have you got better speeds with other modems?

Have you got two phone lines? Sometimes BT do those on the cheap by using
one bit of copper and a splitter which is OK for voice but screws up data.

Have you got a remaindered X2 modem with an ISP that only does 56KFlex or
less likely, the reverse?
