Well, yes marty thanks for pointing that out, but then TV is 95% bollocks
but i still watch the 5%.
And we're in the infancy of Flash, remember, I'm talking about Flash 8 and
the creative possibilities therein. More exciting than a new database.

Well.... I think you're catching on here, Morgan.... although i don't
understand the bit about the cowboys and the fitting look.
I do of course use a mix of flash, html, javascript, php, CSS, DHTML BLAH
BLAH BLAH
My point is that Flash is a fantastic standard and I wish more clients saw
the light and budgeted for it rather than moaning about plugins. It solves
SO many compatibility problems - the only one you're left with is making
sure your site's worth a 20second plugin download.
And i like the democracy of having something easy to get into, difficult to
master.
And believe it or not, the people like it much more than your cruddy
javascript that scrolls today's date in the status bar.

I say: Yeah. I agree. xxx :) Use plain text in a forum. But don't cripple
your imagination elsewhere by being afraid of asking people to keep their
software up to date.

People want flash.
People come up to me and say things like "i tried getting into your site at
easyEverything webcafe and it didn't work cause they haven't got Flash 5,
the twats. I'll try it at work. You'd think they'd have Flash 5 by now
seeing as it has been out for months."
They don't say: "your site's just a page of text saying something about
flashing. What the f*** is that all about? Is it broken?"

And nobody *loves* a well coded HTML site except a techie.
