Flash with everything - was site check

Why do I feel the need to argue against Flash for everything?

I know I don't like the waiting for something to happen, I know I don't
like the fact that sometimes (no, I don't know why) the flash plug-in
refuses to work on IE5.5 and all Flash sites are invisible, even after I
re-install the plug-in.

Perhaps we could make a list of pro's and con's, you know real ones,
backed up with statistics and so on, like how many users actually *have*
downloaded the plug-in.

Or how long you wait for a how big movie on what type of connection
(made more sensible by adding a sod's law factor for number of hops and
available ISP bandwidth etc.

My pet hate:

Flash portals with no skip link.
