RE: FN-FORUM Scroll Bars / flash HOORAY!

Most of what you have just said is crap, Flash is not the problem, its the
people that use it, if everything on the web was done in Flash it would
collapse because 99% of Flash designers are crap not because of the product
itself, you don't need to wait until Flash 8 for it to be any good, it is
already good.

Also I have never been to a company who knows more about this than me, we
are in the business of telling clients how it is and what they need. I am
not saying that Flash should be used on every site but it can be used to
sell in a much better than all the boring static sites on the web as it can
explore emotions with much more ease.

How many of you really know how to use Flash, I bet hardly any of you. The
product has so much more depth to it than any of the ways in which I have
seen it been used by the members of this Forum. Don't make the mistake of
ignoring a product you don't even half know, I would not stand here and
argue the difference between an access database and an SQL one cause I know
Nothing about each of them, so unless you really know Flash don't knock it.

As I have said the fact that you need a plugin is no longer an issue, so
where does the problem lie, a lack of solid Flash Designers/Scripters.

Well Mark,

I'd love to see you take that approach with a big company who know what they
are doing, cause they will laugh you all the way to the door.

The Internet is so much more than a little groovy animation... if you gonna
go that far Mark to hell with flash why not use a full production suite of
Premier, Flame, and a host of other post production tools.

Because of time, money, download, and people won't wait.

If every site on the net was Flash the net would no longer exist it would
have suffered catastrophic failure and no one would use it. They evolve
slowly, if they evolve quickly they end up in a dead end.

Flash has it's place it is one of many mediums but it is not the main one!
Why in hell if I wanted programing information (no diffrent to say wanting
recipies) would I want to wait 20 secs for a 'groovy' Flash animation. I
don't give me information.

and a final phrase Mark, which you seem to be forgetting at your peril.

CONTENT IS KING!

Morgan

PS what about the visually impaired or is your attitude that, that is their
problem?
