the only advice i'd give is to get a single host with a good SLA then you
get 1 good service not 6 average ones

What is everyone's thought about reseller packages with hosting co's?
I do a lot of work for one web design firm and we use Netcetera for hosting,
amongst others. Initially we created a number of virtual servers under the
one domain. There have been several instances were we have lost the lot
because of outages/technical problems. That's why I have since come to the
conclusion that each site would be better of in it's own space, even using a
number of different hosting co's. That way you won't get every client
shouting down the phone that their site is missing, only a few of them!!
The other thing is transferring sites. Because of changes due to the demise
of one web design firm (sites were taken over by another, but the web
address wasn't), I now have to re-locate 6 sites. Were as if I had
originally set up these sites in their own space I wouldn't have to do
anything. I know it's not such a common occurrence but these things do
happen and lumping all sites in one place needs serious consideration and
planning.

try them today. There is no connection at fasthosts at all. My mate is doing
his nut as he has all clients on the same reseller - you loose one you loose
them all.......
