Ok,
Help me out here. I've got gimp for image processing, blender for 3d work
and star office for general office bits & bobs.
Still looking for a flash editing suite, and something like dreamweaver
though
(and no I'm not prepared to use emacs, gvim does all I need for javascript &
html hand coding, as well as lots more with the added advantage of working
just like vi on all those sun, hp, ibm, and sgi boxes people pay me to
implement and look after.
As far as programmers are concerned Linux is top notch, what with borland or
whatever they call themseves now porting to it, and argouml etc.
But for web design the mac & windows imho still have the edge on easy, and
usefull software albeit quite expensive.
