Ian,

It is going to be used for a free counter that will be invisible, seeing as
the counter.com have nicely decided to start charging people should you wish
to use their invisible counter. Initially there will not be that much
traffic, but as we promote this free service more, their will be a greater
demand and as such will need code that can withstand the potential arrival
of high-traffic.

The scripting and processing will be held (and processed) on an NT server,
but I wish to create a javascript or an include file scenario that will call
these files to process the counter and the values it is receiving.

What I am looking to achieve is the following:

- collect the url of the page
- collect the resolution of the page
- collect the colour depth of the page
- transport these values to a given filename
- activate a given filename
- all done automatically

OR

a script that calls a given filename held on our servers.
