You could be in luck.
NTL bought out the C&W network of cable tv and phones but had problems
converting the lines to accomodate cable modems. They have found a soloution
and will be rolling it out on the C&W network, announced sometime last week.
So do some further digging in a couple of weeks and you might get to talk to
somebody who knows the latest at NTL and knows about this (by then).
