RE: FN-FORUM uni course
date posted 12th July 2001 05:22
I've found that - I'm currently doing a Bachelor of
Multimedia (ok I've taken an indefinate break -
contemplating doing a Bachelor of Animation instead) -
I had discussions with one of my lecturers over the
chrimbo break and he said to me - "no wonder you give
the other lecturers hell over what they are teaching,
considering what you do on a day-to-day basis". This
discussion stemmed from why the F was my uni teaching
HTML3.2 when 4.01 was the standard. A lot of the
things you learn at uni is almost out of date the day
you learn them (due to the fact that uni's write their
courses in advance and can't be jumping technology
half-way thru)
