Compuserve 2000
date posted 12th July 2001 10:03
A client upgraded his compuserve account to 2000 and now finds Outlook 2000
cannot access his email because CS2000 uses IMAP. He wants to keep the
compuserve email address and setup an unmetered connection, which Compuserve
do not offer. He has already signed up for a BT Surftime package.
I think his best bet is to persuade CS to reinstate his pop3 mailbox (they
are not very willing, but I hope he can swing it), then switch to their pay
as you go service, and then use a Demon or BT Internet Surftime account to
access it instead.
Any suggestions, comments, relevant experiences please?
Am I right in thinking that a fully unmetered Demon account will cost £20
p.m. to Demon plus £5 or even £15 p.m. to BT for the Surftime package?
Compared to the £15 p.m. in total I am currently paying for BT Internet
Anytime unmetered?
