Rather scarily, I've had some people emailing saying things like - Ruth
'likes to be in charge' Arnold... Read the last para of the article to see
why ;-)
Doh!
Can I ask you guys for a favour... I've been working on a new business for a
few months now and am almost ready to go live with it.
It's a hosted content management service. The idea is to enable web
designers and the like to offer content management facilities to their
customers at an affordable price. We're going to set up reseller accounts
once we've launched, so there'll be plenty in it for web design agencies.
In case I'm not being clear, iBlurbs allows non-technical people to edit the
content of their web site themselves via their browser. It also separates
layout from content so that the end users can't inadvertantly mess up the
design and layout of the page. It is a hosted service, so no-one has to
install anything.
Could you guys please take a look at it at www.iblurbs.com and bug test it
for me. You can set up accounts and create 'blurbs' and have a good play
with it. The site isn't complete yet and there are still bits of the billing
system that aren't live, but the majority of the functionality is in and
ready to go.
Please let me know of any glitches, bloopers, poor usability and typos etc.
It's still in production so there are still bits to write and the demos are
currently being re-done so they're not finalised as yet. I'd especially
appreciate it if Mac users would try using it as I don't think the editor
works in IE browsers.
Plus, bear in mind that the editor doesn't work in any of the Netscape
browsers, as far as I have tested, so don't bother telling me about that.
Thanks muchly guys!
