Re: FN-FORUM Netscape 6 & Flash & HTML errors

Very true Alison, but most of those are used by people like 'us' for
testing, or just out of interest - or by those running 'unusual' platforms.
Joe/Joanne public, who we are designing and testing for, are using IE4/5 and
NN4.x almost without exception - they didn't use Opera even when it was
free........
Now frankly I don't care what they use, I'd just like some consistency -
wouldn't we all - but the much vaunted compliance of NN6 with HTML standards
just hasn't happened.
I'm concerned, however, if Bill G gets it all to himself, we will get IE7 or
8 which does all sorts of stupid things in the name of 'ease of use' or
'enhancing the web experience' or somesuch bollox and renders our best
efforts as a dogs dinner - see the multimedia toolbar which pops up on IE6
leaving only about 600 pixels width as a worrying trend, plus someone
mentioned the MSN browser the other day presenting similar problems......
......anyway, mustn't ramble, Ema's expecting lasagne when she gets in ;-)
