You can masquerade on your IP address when dialing up via a modem, and use
some IP Masquerading or NAT software to effectively route the packets
correctly from the internet into you LAN and vice versa. Bear in mind that
this is only really usful if you have more than one machine trying to use a
single connection.
There are many different programs that can do this on PCs, Mac & Linux.
Take your pick!
