I agree with just about everything you said and had that very conversation
with someone today.

Ultimately those who succeed will be part of a bigger Internet and more
importantly, something we can be proud of, rather than some of the crap
that's currently floating around.

We also have our very own example of every 'tom, dick and harry' doing web
development right here in this forum.

He's a very frequent (and very irritating) bugger.
