I think I should explain what I mean a little more. In time I believe that
the web will be something that other organisations do as part of their
multimedia mix. With a few exceptions, the specialist web agencies will be
absorbed or simply cease to exist. Freelancers will work for larger
organisations or produce small, low-budget, sites for SMEs.

So, there will be no web industry as there is now... the work will just
form part of the wider media industry.

I can hear the flush as we speak.

But maybe I'm simply being pessimistic.
