RE: FN-FORUM A suggestion....

An interesting point re Alodis - I was glancing through it today and thought
exactly the same thing - a guy who owns a mansion hotel, an exclusive west
end club and a restaurant (or 2 or 3 maybe) - hardly what I'd call a
self-employed professional !

I doubt it. Wouldn't those responsible for off-topic posts (and I include
myself) simply also subscribe to the second list? The problem, as I see it,
would be people being disciplined enough to post freelance issues to one,
and off-topic issues to the other.
This said, another possibility would be for people to use the current list
but to ensure that every off-topic post carries Subject: FN-FORUM
OFF-TOPIC. Then at least people have the opportunity of filtering out such
messages. Terrible waste of bandwidth though.
I still want to know what freelance issues are, as I'm unsure myself. It's
like Alodis, the magazine for self-employed... I've been amazed at the
number of "captains of industry" they've featured... makes me wonder if
there's much difference between us (excluding legal issues).
