does this mean I won't be able to access it from the BT Openworld connection
(DSL) that I am using ??

You will need to dial up using your BTInternet connection to use this space
too, I'm afraid. However, it is quite easy to set up. You need to use
ftp.btintetnet.com as your FTP host and then use your username and password
to get access to your space. The url will then be
www.btinternet.com/~yourdetails
