RE: FN-FORUM OT Server Connectivity

Forget T1s, etc. get them to install a BT ADSL line:
Business 500PLUS, Bandwidth = 500 Kbps, Installation = £260.00, Quart.
Rent = £299.97
They also do a 1mbit and 2mbit solution.
The PLUS packages DO come with a fixed IP address which helps for domain
name stuff.
A lot cheaper than a 128k leased line from any where...

Subject: FN-FORUM OT Server Connectivity
Hi,
I am just doing some reasearch for future questions as I am being
frequently
asked by clients if it is a viable option for them to have their server
at
home/office and run it that way. I realised that whilst I know how to
work
inside a server, I don't have a clue how to go about getting a server
connected to the Internet.
I have looked around a bit and some hosting sites explain how there
servers
are set up, T1 line to the net which runs through a series of firewalls
and
then into the server.
But I can't find anywhere that actually offers these T1 connections or
how
much they cost. Anyone out there a bit more knowledgable than me?? If so
could you point me in the direction of a few sites / companies that may
be
able to help.
Thanks
Ade
