Go with Easynet - they're cheaper (I'm getting 2Mb for £120/month), and in
my experience, a far better ISP than BT. The BT 500PLUS is still only 256k
upstream (like all ADSL services), though that will serve a surprisingly
large number of requests.

But less reliable too - ADSL connections don't come with any kind of SLA.
You're at the mercy of BT which ever ISP you go with. There are apparently
trials of SDSL up to 8Mbit going on.
A better option is co-location - I'm mostly hosting on my ADSL, but I'm
about to get a colo box for redundancy and increased reliability. From an
admin point of view, it really makes no difference to me whether the box is
sitting next to me or the other side of the world - SSH is your friend!
