desperate... OT win 98 problem

re-subscribed a couple of weeks ago (hmmmnnnn ..... the tone of a list has
changed)

but I have a problem on a machine I use purely for music that I'm praying
someone can point me in the right direction on. every time I try and do any
large file copying in win I get a lovley blue screen ... a fatal exception
0E at 0028:XXXXXXXX in VxD Cache(01) + 00000A5b or there abouts any ideas
whatsoever much appreciated.

win 98 SE (don't laugh I need to run it 'cause of the availability of
drivers for decent sound cards)

please mail me off list if this is to far OT.
