Yeah, the market nationally is pretty bad, I noticed that before I left
London... but the North East has always been a bit slower for contract
work. There seems to be a fair amount of permie work trickling by, which
Im not really interested in, but not alot of contract stuff (not according
to Jobserve anyway!). I dont mind working from home, as Im doing that at
the moment, but the money Im getting off the two projects im doing at the
moment is ok, but I need to harvest a few more clients under my belt if I
want to continue with home based consultancy.

Heh. Well, Im mainly Linux / UN*X based, and alot of the contracts in the
North East i've seen so far are for Micro$oft NT, ASP type stuff.
