RE: FN-FORUM Anyone own a hosting company?
date posted 5th September 2001 10:30
Mark,
We are not as yet supporting asp .net beta although this is planned to
happen before the end of the year.
Pricing ranges from ?5.99/month for personal domain hosting
Professional Hosting with Webtrends, Access ODBC, WebMail, more emails,
more disk space is ?14.99/month this will support small - medium sized
businesses.
SQL Server hosting ?28.99/month suitable for larger ecommerce sites and
applications.
If you are trade hosting and wish to host 5 or more domains then there is a
20% discount to all our prices, increasing to 40% for over 10 domains.
Domain registrations are ?12.50 for UK domains and ?35.00 for
.com,.net,.org all for 2 year registrations.
All our servers are UK based and thus do not suffer the transatlantic slow
down factor.
All the best

YES,
I have a few design companies that use our services and together with our
own clients that is our hosting base.
Favoured/most effective promotion method business networking
Very specialist Windows 2000 IIS Hosting with SQL server - we undercut some
other host by 2/3rds in this area.
We're surviving.
Advertising budget < ?1,000 / year
All the best

P.S. You have just given me another great advertising opportunity

Hi all,
Does anyone here own a hosting company? If you do, I'd be interested to know
a few things for a survey I'm involved in:
- How do you promote your company
- What are your favourite / most effective methods of promotion
- How well you're doing! (Internet press is telling us a lot of smaller
hosts are going out of business - I'd like to know more!)
- Your advertising budget
Any info greatly appreciated!
Si
(PS - OT: Although I'm Welsh, I feel England need to be congratulated for
their performance on Saturday!)
