RE: FN-FORUM 256colours NT4 office 2000
date posted 1st October 2001 07:30
I have NT4 installed...do I need to go throught the NT4 installation to set
the drivers? Presuming the graphics card/adapter is built in to the mother
board where will I find which one it is, or does it get detected
automatically?

You need to check that you have the correct monitor and graphics drivers
configured - if you're being limited to 16 colours it sounds like you only
have something like VGA drivers running.
Assuming we're talking Windows and not MAC, right click on your desk top
and
select properties. Choose the Settings tab and then click on Advanced.
This should give you menu tabs to choose Monitor and Graphics Adapter and
you can check from there to see what you're using.
If it looks like you're using the wrong drivers, you would need to use the
troubleshoot guide or choose update driver and hope that Windows finds the
correct one for you.
